Our client is currently seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join their team in the specialty chemicals sector. This role is responsible for managing and expanding a defined territory, with a strong focus on transformer oils, dielectric fluids, and related specialty products .

This position combines technical knowledge with solid commercial acumen, excelling in relationship building, business development, and achieving sales growth across diverse markets.

- Salary: starting at $115,000 annually , Performance-based bonus program ,
- Location: Remote (Candidates must reside within two hours of Toronto and be able to travel regularly to Belleville, ON)
- Schedule: Full-time
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Responsibilities

- Manage and grow assigned customer accounts to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, applications, and market segments throughout the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Promote the company's product portfolio, with a strong emphasis on transformer oils and dielectric fluids.
- Monitor customer requirements, market trends, pricing activities, and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account documentation, and customer records.
- Analyze sales performance and adjust territory strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance, identify opportunities, and expand market share.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical,



and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to forecasting, expenses, ethics, and credit management.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Must have a passport or obtain a passport after being hired
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience, preferably in chemical sales
- Experience selling or supporting transformer oils, dielectric fluids, lubricants, or specialty chemical products is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in territory management, business development, and achieving sales objectives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize accounts and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Canada and the Northeastern United States (approximately 50% travel).
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and perform travel-related physical activities as required.
