We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to drive business growth, strengthen customer relationships, and provide technical support across industrial customer sites. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working directly with customers while applying technical expertise to solve operational challenges.

Position Summary The Account Manager plays a critical role in developing and expanding customer accounts while serving as a trusted advisor on chemical applications, operational improvements, and technical solutions. This position combines strategic account management, business development, technical support, and field operations experience to deliver measurable value for customers and the business.

Working closely with customer operations, engineering, maintenance, procurement, safety, and leadership teams, you will help ensure customer objectives are achieved through safe, effective, and commercially successful chemical programs.

What You'll Do

Strategic Account Management

- Develop and execute account plans for key and growth-focused customers.
- Build long-term relationships with operational, technical, procurement, safety, and leadership stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, and solution-based selling.
- Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer operations and business drivers.

Business Development

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Manage opportunities from lead generation through implementation and ongoing support.
- Support proposals, quotations, presentations, and business cases.
- Participate in commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
- Lead or support RFP, RFQ, and tender response activities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM records.

Technical & Product Support





- Develop expertise in company products, chemical applications, and treatment programs.
- Provide technical recommendations based on customer operating conditions.
- Troubleshoot product performance and operational challenges.
- Support customer training, product demonstrations, and implementation activities.
- Participate in customer trials and product evaluations.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.

Field Operations Support

- Conduct regular visits to customer facilities and operating sites.
- Support chemical treatment programs and field implementations.
- Assist with chemical deliveries, transfers, batching, blending, and applications when required.
- Monitor program performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Document field observations and operational information accurately.
- Support issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.

Sampling, Testing & Performance Monitoring

- Collect gas, liquid, and chemical samples following approved procedures.
- Conduct field testing using approved equipment and methodologies.
- Document and communicate results to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.

Safety & Compliance

- Maintain compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of safety through personal leadership and accountability.
- Ensure proper chemical handling, transportation, and storage practices.
- Participate in hazard assessments, incident reporting, and corrective action activities.
- Maintain all required certifications and site access credentials.

Qualifications

Education

- Diploma or degree in Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education and industry experience will be considered.

Experience





- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in industrial sales, technical sales, chemical applications, production chemistry, field operations, or related industries.
- Proven success managing customer relationships and commercial opportunities.
- Experience supporting customers in field-based environments.
- Robust understanding of industrial operations and customer-driven solutions.

· Preference given to candidates with experience in production chemicals, corrosion management, water treatment, flow assurance, pipeline operations and/or industrial process chemistry

Technical Knowledge

- Chemical applications and treatment programs.
- Sampling and testing methodologies.
- Industrial operations and production environments.
- Chemical handling, transportation, and transfer processes.
- Customer troubleshooting and technical support.
- CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
