About the Role

Trooh is looking for an Accountant who can bring accuracy, insight, and a solutions-focused mindset to a growing finance team. In this role, you will support revenue operations, accounts payable, month-end close, reporting, and process improvement while helping strengthen the systems and data that drive better business decisions. Reporting to the Controller/VP of Finance, this is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who is comfortable working with Excel, business software, reporting tools, and AI-enabled technology to improve efficiency and deliver meaningful financial insights.

Salary Range: CAD $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Management & Analytics

- Manage client billing, collections, payment follow-up, and related account reconciliations.
- Support revenue reporting, sales forecasting, KPI tracking, and performance analysis across key accounts, offices, advertisers, and agencies.
- Review insertion orders, maintain accurate billing records, and resolve billing or client account discrepancies.
- Build, maintain, and improve recurring reports using Excel, CRM reporting tools, and other business systems.
- Support CRM data accuracy, reporting effectiveness, and process improvements in tools such as Boostr or similar platforms.

Accounts Payable

- Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor inquiries, payment runs, and reconciliations.
- Maintain vendor records, monitor AP aging, investigate discrepancies, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

General Accounting & Month-End Close

- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and fixed asset support.




- Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and ad hoc financial analysis.

Reporting & Automation

- Use Excel, Power Query, reporting tools, and approved AI-enabled technologies to streamline reporting, reconciliations, invoice processing, and month-end workflows.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and IT to improve systems, document procedures, strengthen data integrity, and support automation or process improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience; CPA designation or active pursuit is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, month-end close, reconciliations, AP, AR, billing, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reconciliations, reporting templates, and analysis of large data sets.
- Experience with accounting, ERP, billing, CRM, and reporting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Boostr, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Comfort learning new computer programs and using technology to improve workflows, reporting accuracy, and team efficiency.
- Experience with Power Query, Power BI, SQL, VBA, Python,



automation tools, or AI-enabled productivity/reporting tools is an asset.
