We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a 3-month contract basis and support key accounting and financial reporting activities.

Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with Canadian accounting standards, and support month-end and year-end close processes. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is ideal for a hands-on accounting skilled who can quickly contribute in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury activities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting,



and variance analysis.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure accurate GST/HST filings and statutory reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to provide financial insights.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in transportation, logistics, construction, industrial services, or similar industries is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting audits and multi-entity financial reporting.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid work model with a combination of remote and on-site work as required.

3-month contract position with potential extension based on business needs.
