Job Summary

Dukes Building Supplies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of accounting and administrative functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial records and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Assist with invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems.
- Enter financial data and ensure information is up to date.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education related to Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

RequirementsAbility to Commute/Relocate Fort McMurray, AB T9H 0E1:
- Reliably commute to work or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).

Experience
- Accounting/Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)

Education
- Certificate, Diploma, or education related to Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (preferred)
