Position Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining strong internal controls and positive supplier relationships. This role ensures financial records are complete, payments are made in accordance with company policies and payment terms, and all transactions are processed accurately within the accounting system.

Here’s What You’ll Deliver:

- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (three-way matching) and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs by cheque, EFT, wire transfer, or other approved methods.
- Maintain vendor master files and ensure vendor information is accurate and up to date.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues promptly.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment schedules in a professional and timely manner.
- Process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure invoices are recorded in the appropriate accounting periods.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and identify overdue or outstanding items requiring attention.




- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
- Prepare reports and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for accounts payable documentation.
- Support compliance with company policies, internal controls, tax requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualification :

- Diploma or post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Epicor, Plex, or similar).
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Experience with high-volume invoice processing is considered an asset.

Job Type: 6 months (Contract) Work Location: On-site
