Accounts Recievable Specialist – Semi-Trailer Sales & Leasing

About the Role The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing all AR processes for the business as well as well as minor administrative journal entries, collecting on client accounts and serving as a backup for the Accounts Payable Specialist.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable – includes but is not limited to:

- Collection calls and customer resolutions
- Generating customer invoicing, billing and account statements
- Managing customer payments and deposits in both CAD and USD
- Run regular reporting on collection updates
- Run weekly A/R review meeting with CFO, Controller and other team members
- Respond to customer requests & inquires as required
- Monitor credit limits and make recommendations for changes
- Set up new customers into accounting system

When required, Accounts Payable – includes but is not limited to:
- Full cycle invoice processing including GL coding, PO & contract verification and payment tracking




- Responding to vendor requests and inquires as required
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail including cheques
- Setting up new vendors in accounting system

Other
- Performance efficiency reports for executive team
- Routine weekly reports
- Report irregular transactions to management
- Assisting in reconciliations for interim and year-end audit
- Manage customer setup, review credit applications and validate HST numbers
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- 3+ years’ accounting (receivables & collections) experience is required
- Superlative communication skills – both oral and written
- University Degree or College Diploma in accounting/business administration is preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Good time-management with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
