Fern Hill School is seeking an energetic, organized, and dedicated qualified to join our Oakville Campus as an Admissions Officer. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and the Heads of School, the Admissions Officer serves as a key ambassador for Fern Hill School, representing and promoting the School's mission, values, and commitment to academic excellence.

As an integral member of the Admissions Office, the Admissions Officer plays a vital role in recruiting and enrolling future Fern Hill students. The work of the Admissions Department is critical to maintaining the vibrant learning environment and strong school culture that define Fern Hill. This position requires a dynamic, personable, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys building relationships with prospective families while managing a fast-paced admissions process with professionalism and care.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine interest in independent school education. Experience working in admissions at an educational institution, or in a school environment such as administration, teaching, or student services, would be considered a strong asset.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, with the potential to advance into a leadership role within the Admissions Department, including future opportunities such as Director of Admissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective families,



responding promptly and professionally to inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Guide prospective families through the admissions process, providing outstanding customer service and support.
- Receive, review, organize, and assess student applications in collaboration with the Director of Admissions.
- Manage applicant files, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and confidential.
- Schedule applicant assessments, interviews, school tours, and other admissions-related appointments.
- Prepare acceptance letters, enrollment agreements, and other admissions documentation.
- Process student registrations, tuition deposits, and payments, while coordinating with the Accounting Department regarding fees and financial documentation.
- Develop comprehensive student profiles to support the successful integration of new students.
- Maintain accurate records within the student information and admissions management systems.
- Prepare regular enrollment reports, data analysis, and admissions statistics to support strategic planning and recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and participating in Open Houses, school tours, information sessions, and new family events.
- Support recruitment initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance the admissions experience and attract prospective families.
- Perform data entry and other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business,



Marketing, Communications, Education, or another relevant field.
- Experience in admissions, recruitment, customer service, or administrative roles is preferred.
- Experience working in admissions at an academic institution or within an educational environment is considered a significant asset.
- Experience working with admissions databases or student information systems is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional email and telephone etiquette.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A positive, professional, and service-oriented approach with a genuine interest in education.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
