Advanced Foot Care Nurse (LPN) – Casual

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Foot Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about preventative care, client education, and helping clients maintain mobility and quality of life.

We are looking for someone who has availability to work consistently 3, 4 or 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive foot assessments.
- Provide advanced foot care, including:
- Nail trimming and reduction of thickened nails.
- Callus and corn reduction.
- Basic diabetic foot assessments.
- Skin and foot health assessments.
- Identify abnormalities and refer clients to appropriate healthcare providers when necessary.
- Educate clients and families on proper foot care, footwear, and preventative measures.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Provide care in clients' homes and other community settings throughout Calgary.

Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aid's of Alberta (CLHA).
- Completion of a recognized Advanced Foot Care Nursing certification program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Valid Alberta driver's licence and reliable vehicle.




- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while delivering exceptional client care.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing foot care in the community or home care setting.
- Experience working with seniors and clients living with diabetes, vascular disease, or reduced mobility.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and best practices in advanced foot care.
