The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a Full time, Permanent experienced, innovative, and clinically grounded leader to join the Access to Care Program as an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader (APCL). Reporting to the Clinical Director, General Outpatient and Integrated Mental Health, the APCL will play a key role in advancing clinical excellence, professional practice, quality improvement, and system transformation across outpatient services. Working in close partnership with operational, physician, and professional practice leaders, the APCL will promote high-quality, equitable, and recovery-oriented care while supporting the implementation of evidence-informed practices, optimizing care pathways, and enhancing outcomes for patients, families, and communities.

Drawing on advanced clinical expertise, implementation science, and systems thinking, the APCL will serve as a clinical expert, mentor, and change leader. The successful candidate will provide consultation and support in complex clinical situations, foster excellence in assessment, treatment planning, risk management, and transitions of care, and strengthen clinical capability through mentorship, coaching, and professional development. As a leader in professional practice, the APCL will support the development of clinical standards, promote measurement-based care, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning, reflective practice, and interprofessional collaboration.

The APCL will also lead and contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and practice transformation initiatives aligned with CAMH’s strategic priorities. Through the use of data, outcomes measurement, research, and knowledge translation, they will identify opportunities for innovation and drive meaningful change across services. The role requires a strong commitment to partnership building, scholarship, and systems leadership, including collaboration across programs, sectors, and communities to advance integrated care, improve patient and family experiences, and champion equitable, inclusive, and culturally safe care.





The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in a regulated health profession and be a member in good standing with the applicable regulatory college, along with a minimum of five years of progressive clinical experience in mental health and addictions. They will demonstrate advanced expertise in evidence-based assessment and treatment, including experience delivering and supporting psychotherapies such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and IPT. The ability to provide clinical supervision for the controlled act of psychotherapy and support the development of clinician competencies is essential.

Eligibility for a cross-appointment with the University of Toronto is required, and specialty certifications in mental health, addictions, psychotherapy, clinical supervision, or advanced clinical practice are considered assets.

The ideal candidate is a recognized clinical leader with experience advancing skilled practice, leading quality improvement initiatives, and implementing evidence-informed care within interprofessional healthcare settings. They will bring strong skills in clinical consultation, mentorship, coaching, and team-based supervision, along with a demonstrated commitment to scholarship, research, and knowledge translation.

Experience in program development, evaluation, student supervision, and academic activities is highly valued.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of best practices in the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex mental health and substance use concerns, including risk assessment, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and family engagement. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills are required,



as is the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally safe care is essential.

Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in another language is considered an asset.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary is competitive and based on experience, with a hiring range of $110,020.48 – $137,525.60 per year.

• Employees in this role may progress within the full pay range of $110,020.48– $165,030.72 per year
