Afternoon Dispatch - Full Time

Location: 1 Steinway Blvd, Etobicoke, ON, M9W 6J8

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Care Accessible Transportation is a growing and dynamic organization looking for a highly organized, techno-savvy Dispatch with excellent customer service and multitasking skills.

This full-time position involves coordinating over 55 vehicles and 65+ drivers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted transportation services for transit riders across the Region of York. The successful candidate will also provide essential administrative support to keep our operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Answering multi-line phones
- Coordinating, monitoring and overseeing the on-time delivery of scheduled trips
- Dispatching drivers and vehicles across the Region of York
- Responding to and coordinating response to emergency situations
- Responding to, reporting and documenting any incidents
- Using computer systems to monitor drivers
- Supporting and managing positive work relations with all drivers
- Being responsible for a variety of administrative tasks
- Assisting Manager with investigation of any accidents or incidents
- Preparing and distributing operational memos
- Downloading and distributing service manifests as per schedule

Qualifications & Requirements




- At least 3+ years of proven experience in a fast-paced dispatch environment
- Essential computer and keyboarding skills
- Professionalism and proven customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, good telephone manners
- Positive geographical knowledge of the Region of York
- Ability to multi-task handling high-stress situations
- Able to be decisive and assertive under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team
- Punctual and positive attendance record
- Schedule flexibility
- Willingness to adapt to our system within a short period of time
