About the Opportunity

Saint Laurent Consulting is hiring on behalf of our client, a global organization seeking an AI Developer & BI Developer to support AI-driven business initiatives, intelligent automation, and reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience or strong interest in AI model fine-tuning, intelligent automation, Power BI development, Crystal Reports, and SQL. This role is ideal for a technically curious skilled who can help develop practical AI solutions while supporting business intelligence and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Fine-tune and optimize AI/LLM models for business use cases
- Prepare, clean, and organize datasets for AI training and evaluation
- Test, evaluate, and improve AI model performance
- Develop and refine prompts, embeddings, and AI workflows
- Build AI-powered automation solutions to improve business processes
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI visualizations
- Develop and maintain Crystal Reports for business and operational reporting
- Support reporting, analytics, and data-related business requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI adoption and process improvement

Technical Skill Requirements AI / Machine Learning (Primary Focus)

Experience or strong understanding of:

- LLM fine-tuning
- Prompt engineering
- AI model evaluation
- Dataset preparation and cleaning
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Embeddings and vector databases

Familiarity with AI tools/frameworks such as:

- OpenAI APIs
- Hugging Face
- TensorFlow or PyTorch
- LangChain (preferred)

Additional AI skills:

- Ability to optimize AI outputs
- Understanding of AI workflows and automation
- Experience applying AI solutions to business problems

Power BI

Experience developing:

- Dashboards
- Business reports
- KPI visualizations

Knowledge of:

- DAX




- Power Query
- Data visualization best practices

Crystal Reports

Experience with:

- Creating and modifying Crystal Reports
- Developing operational and business reports
- Troubleshooting and maintaining existing reports

SQL

Basic SQL knowledge required:

- Writing simple queries
- Fetching and filtering data
- Working with existing databases

Preferred Additional Skills

- Python programming
- API integration
- AI agents or chatbot development experience
- Cloud AI services knowledge
- Understanding of reporting and analytics workflows

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging AI technologies
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Education Requirements

Degree or diploma in:

- Computer Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Science
- Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.

Work Requirements

- Must be able to work onsite in Vaughan, ON, 5 days per week
- Must be comfortable with a 3-month contract position
