Job Overview The Home Store is looking for a skilled and reliable Appliance Service Technician specializing in refrigeration to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential refrigerators and other household appliances both in our workshop and at customers' homes.

This position requires a motivated technician with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while representing our company professionally.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair residential refrigerators, freezers, and other household appliances.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
- Replace defective components and perform quality repairs.
- Test appliances after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Perform preventative maintenance when required.
- Travel to customers' homes to complete service calls, warranty repairs, and diagnostics.
- Clearly explain repair findings and recommendations to customers.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate repair documentation.
- Keep service vehicles and work areas clean and organized.




- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Valid refrigeration/appliance technician certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience repairing residential refrigerators and household appliances.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ranges.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Ontario G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances when required.
- HVAC or refrigeration experience is considered an asset.
