An Apprentice Mechanic is a skilled member of the Service Department who reports to the Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities An Apprentice Mechanic is responsible for performing the following duties:
- Diagnose and repair commercial vehicles through the disassembly of faulty assemblies.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged parts.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups.
- Keep his/her work area clean and organized.
The Employee’s productivity will be monitored. Employees will be expected to perform in accordance with industry standards, as well as standards specific to North Rock Truck & Tire The hours in the Service Department are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. REQUIREMENTS In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proof of registration as an Apprentice with the Ministry of College and Trades
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License
- A full suite of tools, including all tools that would be necessary to complete jobs that are assigned to him/her on a daily basis
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
