Duties

- Assist with daily herd management tasks including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health and behavior
- Support the cleaning, maintenance, and operation of farm machinery and equipment used in herd care and feed delivery
- Help with the safe handling and movement of cattle using appropriate techniques and farm machinery
- Perform routine inspections of farm facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of equipment
- Support heavy lifting tasks involved in feed handling, bedding management, and equipment setup
- Assist with record-keeping related to herd health,

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during milking times, feeding routines, and general farm activities

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain farm machinery effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
- Experience or familiarity with farm machinery such as feed mixers, tractors, or milking equipment is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, or lifting throughout the workday
- Valuable communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn about animal husbandry practices and farm safety protocols
