Role Description The Assistant Store Manager Grocery is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, supporting the Store Manager in daily operations of the grocery department. This role includes supervising staff, organizing schedules, and providing guidance to ensure excellent customer service and effective store performance.

The Assistant Store

Manager helps manage inventory, monitors product quality, oversees merchandising and signage, and supports retail loss prevention efforts. Day-to-day tasks also involve assisting customers, resolving concerns, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards,



and ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed. The role collaborates with other departments to support promotions, achieve sales goals, and deliver a welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction, and Communication abilities.
- Experience in Store Management, including staff supervision, scheduling, and daily retail operations.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices and basic inventory control methods.
- Previous experience in grocery, natural foods, or retail environments is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Calgary, AB, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
- Leadership skills with a collaborative approach and commitment to a respectful, inclusive workplace.
