Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks equipped for freight transportation across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, identifying maintenance needs or repairs needed to keep trucks in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit.




- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues when necessary to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to hazardous material handling procedures when applicable.

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid AZ license.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used in freight handling.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting mechanical issues confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
