Pie Junkie - [pI jəNGkē] (noun) Someone who has a compulsive obsession with all things pie – sweet pie, savory pie, large pies, small pies, hand pies, tarts, fruit pies, cream pies, chicken pies, beef pies, lamb pies, etc.

Pie Junkie is a young, growing company with big potential. We’ve built a solid reputation making sweet and savory pies the way your grandmother did – made from scratch, by hand with our signature all-butter crust. But that’s where the similarity ends.

We make pies that are as beautiful to the eye as they are delicious to the palette. Our pies are perfect for everyday, and we make beautiful custom pies that are perfect for any special occasion – weddings, birthdays, holidays, etc. The pies the limit!!

We’re a company that is going places. We’ve grown our business from a single location six years ago, to four shops throughout Calgary today. Our vision is to put our pie into as many mouths as possible and we see significant potential to grow our business, not only in Calgary but across Canada. Here’s what you will do as a Baker for the House:

*Responsible for the baking of all sweet and savory pies for the retail location each day, along with all wholesale requirements, fundraisers and on-line orders





- Ensure the store is adequately supplied with product – inventory control, product management, waste control, etc.
- Execute special orders as and when needed
- Maintain the corporate standards for quality, taste and appearance of all pies
- Maintain the corporate standards of cleanliness, health and safety and quality
- Assist with customers as needed
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring forward any suggestions for improvement.
- Be a part of a high performing team that works well together and enjoys the feeling of success when goals are achieved.

Job Requirements:

- A minimum of five years baking experience
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, execute to exacting standards and multi-task
- A self-starter, who can work independently, using sound judgement and responsibility
- Available for early morning, evening and/or weekend shifts
- A strong understanding of the English language and the ability to interact with others
