Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position requires a passion for the food industry and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including cooking, assembling orders, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while performing basic math calculations for change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen equipment,



and utensils.
- Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure safety and quality of products served.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Experience

- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in roles involving customer service or food preparation.
- Barista experience is a plus, with familiarity in preparing various coffee beverages.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
