Our independent Islamic elementary and secondary school is inviting applications for a full time teacher to teach a K-2 class along with Art to grades 3-9. Given the student-teacher ratio and mixed grades, we are looking for a progressive and creative educator who can adapt to this setting and who sees the benefit of personalized education in a multi-aged classroom.

Subjects Taught

- K-2: All subjects excluding Islamic Sciences and Arabic
- Art 3-9: During the Islamic Sciences and Arabic courses you will teach art classes

Responsibilities
- Prepare courses and lessons for students according to the BC curriculum and the school's teaching philosophy.
- Teach students using a systematic plan of lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and nature.
- Lead students in activities to promote their physical,



mental and social development.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate
- An understanding of the Islamic Religion or willingness to work in an Islamic School.
