Role Description The Battery-Electric Bus Transit Advisory Board Member will provide expert advice and guidance on the integration, operation, and optimization of our EVCare nattery intellegence on battery-electric buses within public transit systems. This remote role, engaging with a company in Vancouver, BC, includes participating in ad hoc advisory board meetings, reviewing technical and operational data, and making recommendations on fleet pilot deployment strategies, and battery intelligence and health management using BEB fleet experitise.
The Advisory Board
Member will asked to occassonally collaborate with internal product teams and external transit stakeholders to align Volterra’s solutions with real-world operational needs, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities also include contributing to pilot project evaluations, advising on best practices for safety and maintenance, and helping shape long-term strategic direction for our initiatives. Qualifications
Experience in public transit operations, maintenace and planning, including BEB fleet management and service optimization.
Knowledge of battery-electric vehicle technology, and battery health or lifecycle management.
Background in BEB fleet management, transportation policy, urban planning, or mobility strategy, with familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
Ability to interpret technical data, performance metrics, and reports to inform strategic recommendations.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Prior advisory board, committee, or leadership experience in transportation, energy, or related fields is an asset.
Post-secondary education in engineering, transportation, environmental science, business, or a related discipline preferred.
Commitment to sustainability, innovation, and equitable access to clean transportation solutions.
