Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Manager to join our team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will be a CPA (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 5 years of extensive bookkeeping experience and an interest in overseeing and developing the firm’s bookkeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage processes within the department
- Oversee quality control of all bookkeeping files
- Review bookkeeping work prepared by the team
- Ensure timely completion of all bookkeeping engagements
- Prepare more complex bookkeeping assignments
- Oversee payroll processing
- Train, mentor, and support team members
- Lead, support,



and coordinate a team of 5 staff (2 Senior Bookkeepers, 2 Bookkeepers, and 1 part-time Bookkeeper)
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and workflow within the department

Qualifications & Skills Required

- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum 5 years of extensive bookkeeping experience (public practice preferred)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
- Solid experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Robust interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
