The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Breast Patient Management Coordinator (PMC) to join our Breast Imaging team. This role provides hands-on clinical, administrative, and workflow support within a busy diagnostic imaging environment, with a focus on supporting breast imaging appointments, interventional breast procedures, patient preparation, room turnover, documentation, and specimen coordination. The successful candidate will be organized, compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working closely with technologists, radiologists, physicians, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide a warm, professional, and compassionate patient experience from arrival through completion of the appointment.
- Support breast imaging and interventional breast procedure workflows, including assisting technologists with patient preparation, room setup, procedural readiness, and post-procedure room turnover.
- Prepare procedure rooms, supplies, equipment, and patient care areas to ensure rooms are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for each patient encounter.
- Assist with patient flow by escorting patients, providing clear instructions, answering routine non-clinical questions, and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
- Assist with lab specimen processes, including accurate labelling, documentation, handling, tracking, and coordination of samples for pathology when required.
- Support chart preparation, documentation review, requisition organization, appointment coordination, and other clerical tasks that contribute to productive clinical operations.
- Maintain strong communication with technologists, radiologists, physicians, clinic managers, administrative staff, and patients to support timely and accurate care delivery.
- Monitor procedure rooms and work areas for required supplies, expired items, cleanliness,



infection prevention readiness, and operational needs.
- Follow established infection prevention and control practices, workplace safety requirements, privacy standards, and confidentiality expectations.
- Contribute to a respectful, team-focused, and patient-centered environment by communicating professionally and supporting colleagues during busy clinical periods.
- Assist with troubleshooting workflow barriers, escalating concerns appropriately, and identifying opportunities to improve patient flow and department efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned under the direction of the clinic manager, breast imaging leadership, or designated clinical team members.

Qualifications

- Previous healthcare, clinical assistant, medical office assistant, unit clerk, patient care aide, or similar experience is preferred.
- Experience in diagnostic imaging, breast imaging, interventional procedures, pathology specimen handling, or a procedural clinic setting is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and compassionate approach to patient interactions.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable supporting sensitive patient care situations with discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, punctuality, and willingness to learn.




- Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic documentation systems is an asset.
- Ability to follow established policies, procedures, safety protocols, and privacy requirements.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

- Work is performed in a clinical diagnostic imaging environment with direct patient interaction.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving between patient care areas throughout the shift.
- May involve assisting with room turnover, moving supplies, preparing procedure areas, and supporting patient flow.
- Requires comfort working in a procedural environment where infection prevention, patient privacy, and attention to detail are essential.
- Must be able to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and patient-centered care.

Work Schedule & Environment

- Position type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays based on clinic needs.
- Work location: Calgary, Alberta; multiple Beam Radiology clinic locations may be required.
