Vretta is looking for a Business Development Associate to join our growth and partnerships team. This position requires excellent communication skills, financial acumen, and a strategic mindset to identify new market opportunities and support the expansion of our student learning and assessment solutions.
As a Business Development Associate, you must have the enthusiasm and drive to research potential clients, support B2B outreach strategies, and help build strong relationships that drive Vretta's institutional growth.
Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify potential new clients, including school boards, school districts, private schools, etc.
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Support the development and execution of outbound sales and partnership strategies.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track leads, pipeline progress, and partner communications.
- Proposal Development: Assist in creating compelling pitch decks, sales collateral, and formal proposals for prospective clients.
- Competitor Analysis: Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to help refine Vretta’s value proposition.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align messaging and ensure client requirements are met.
- Event Support: Assist in preparing for and scheduling meetings at industry events, webinars, and conferences.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, or related business programs (specialization in Sales, International Business, or Strategy is a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently articulate value propositions.
- Analytical thinker with a knack for spotting market trends and data-driven opportunities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience With Any Of The Following Is An Asset
- Familiarity with B2B sales processes or CRM tools.
- Experience in lead generation, outreach, and professional networking.
- Background or strong interest in EdTech (Educational Technology).
- Presentation skills and experience building qualified sales collateral.
Location This position will require you to work from our office that is located at 120 Adelaide Street East, Toronto, ON M5C 1K9.
