Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing and custom woodworking team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality cabinets and woodwork using precise techniques and a variety of tools. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking principles, blueprint reading, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
The Cabinet
Maker will contribute to projects ranging from residential cabinetry to commercial installations, ensuring all work meets quality standards and client specifications.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce cabinetry and wood components.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood materials using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinets and related fixtures on-site or in workshop settings with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry or wood structures as needed.
- Measure materials accurately for fabrication, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Assist with other carpentry or construction tasks such as flooring installation, drywall finishing, or minor electrical/plumbing work if required.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or woodworking, with a solid portfolio demonstrating craftsmanship.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, siding, or other related trades is a plus.
- Prior handyman experience or background in construction painting, tile laying, flooring installation, or concrete forming is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary.
- Strong understanding of safety standards within manufacturing or construction environments. Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
