The Cake Decorator is responsible for decorating cakes and pastries according to the bakery’s standards and customer requests. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and proficiency in piping, icing, and cake finishing techniques to ensure all products are visually appealing and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Decorate cakes for birthdays, celebrations, and custom orders according to design specifications

- Use piping bags, decorating tips, and other tools to create patterns, lettering, and decorative elements

- Apply buttercream, whipped cream, ganache, and fondant finishes to cakes

- Prepare and pipe borders, flowers, and other decorative designs

- Ensure cakes are properly assembled, stable, and visually appealing

- Maintain consistency in decoration quality and presentation standards





- Communicate with team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time

- Assist with basic pastry preparation when needed

- Keep the decorating station clean, organized, and sanitized

- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a cake decorator, pastry cook, or similar role preferred

- Proficiency in piping techniques and cake decorating tools

- Strong attention to detail and aesthetic presentation

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting

- Good time management and organizational skills

- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to custom design requests

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
