Carpenter’s Apprentice

Bear Creek Carpentry Ltd. is looking for a motivated Carpenter’s Apprentice to join our growing team serving Peterborough County, Kawartha Lakes, and the surrounding cottage country.

If you’re eager to learn the trade, take pride in your work, and want to build high-quality projects alongside experienced carpenters, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

- Assist with residential renovations, additions, and new construction.
- Learn framing, interior finishing, exterior renovations, decks, siding, windows, doors, roofing, and more.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Load and unload materials, maintain clean job sites, and support the crew.
- Work alongside skilled trades while developing your carpentry skills.

What We’re Looking For

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid G driver’s licence and dependable transportation.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in all seasons.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Previous construction experience is an asset but not required.

Minimum Requirements

- Must reside in the Buckhorn, Peterborough, or surrounding area.



Due to the location of our projects and daily reporting requirements, applications from candidates living outside this region will not be considered.
- Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain).
- WHMIS certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Registered apprentice or interested in pursuing an apprenticeship.
