Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Journeyperson Carpenters for work at our project in BC

- Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday
- Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement

What You Will Be Working On The General Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of field construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role provides leadership to Foremen, crews, subcontractors, and project stakeholders while supporting project planning, execution, client relationships, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- - Lead, mentor, and supervise Foremen, craft workers, subcontractors, and support personnel to achieve project objectives safely and efficiently.




- Coordinate daily construction activities and manpower requirements to ensure work progresses according to project schedules and priorities.
- Collaborate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and project team to develop execution plans, sequencing strategies, and short-term work schedules.
- Direct and oversee field operations, site logistics, material management, equipment utilization, and workforce productivity.
- Monitor project progress against schedule milestones and implement corrective actions when required.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure work is executed in accordance with project requirements.
- Lead and facilitate daily crew meetings, toolbox talks, FLRAs, and field coordination activities.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Promote and maintain a robust safety culture through active leadership, inspections, audits, coaching, and accountability.
- Support project planning activities including constructability reviews, work packaging, scheduling, and resource forecasting.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities to maintain productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
- Oversee procurement planning, material forecasts, delivery schedules, storage requirements, and equipment needs to support construction activities.
- Track labour productivity, quantities, and project performance metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Review and approve timesheets, field reports, progress updates,



and other project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain detailed daily reports and communicate project status, risks, delays, and concerns to project leadership.
- Support quality management processes including inspections, testing requirements, deficiency management, commissioning activities, turnover preparation, and project closeout.
- Participate in the review and management of RFIs, field changes, redlines, and quality-related documentation.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, Indigenous partners, community stakeholders, and project teams.
- Assist with client meetings and proactively support customer satisfaction through professional communication and issue resolution.
- Identify construction challenges, constructability concerns, and project risks while developing practical solutions in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and cost-effective construction practices to enhance project performance.
- Support project commissioning, turnover, warranty activities, and site demobilization as required.

What We Are Looking For
- - Previous General Foreman experience on large industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or major construction projects.
- Journeyperson trade certification.
- Experience participating in project planning, scheduling, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Experience working in unionized construction environments.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or other construction scheduling software.
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary workforces and subcontractor teams.
