Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Casual/On-Call Early Childhood Teacher (ECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and staff to promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.

Wage

$19 - $21 per hours (plus Wage Enhancement, if you are applicable)

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their social skills and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments.




- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications

- A Valid ECE certificate in BC & First Aid Certificate
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Bilingual skills in English is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Proficient computer skills for classroom operation and record keeping.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
