Position Summary

Hollyburn Country Club is seeking a Childcare Attendant to join our Childcare & Youth Department in a part-time, fixed-term capacity for approximately 12 months to provide maternity leave coverage.

The Childcare Attendant plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while their parents use other areas of the Club. This position is responsible for supervising and caring for children ranging in age from four months to 10 years.

The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children. They will also be a collaborative team member who contributes to the overall success of the department. A strong customer service mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to child safety and wellbeing are essential.

The anticipated employment term is from September 7, 2026 to September 7, 2027. The dates may be adjusted based on operational requirements and the timing of the incumbent’s leave.





Position Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children ages 4 months to 10 years
- Model positive behavior and reinforce the Club’s code of conduct and safety expectations with children and families.
- Facilitate age-appropriate play and activities to keep children engaged
- Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges and implement positive guidance techniques.
- Ensure accurate child-to-staff ratios are maintained at all times.
- Maintain a cheerful, professional, and approachable demeanor when interacting with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring families feel confident and comfortable leaving their children in our care.
- Collaborate with team members to share creative ideas, enhance programming, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Childcare and Youth department.

Skills & Qualifications

- Must be available to work a Tuesday & Wednesday, 1:00pm - 7:15pm.
- Responsible Adult Certificate (asset)
- Experience working with children and youth.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant Toddler, or ECE Assistant certification is an asset; related childcare experience with references will also be considered.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification is considered a strong asset.
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset due to the Club’s location




- Candidates must obtain a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search as part of the onboarding process.

Working Conditions

- This position operates 100% in office
- Regular evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events
