Join our vibrant team as a Dog Care Attendant at our welcoming doggy hotel, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional care will shine! This 25 hour, weekday position from 2pm to 7pm offers a rewarding opportunity to ensure our furry guests feel secure, loved, and comfortable during their stay. You’ll play a vital role in providing top-notch care, maintaining a very clean and safe environment, and creating joyful experiences for dogs and their owners alike.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and engage with dogs throughout their stay, ensuring they are happy, comfortable, and well-exercised
- Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by management or pet owners
- Maintain cleanliness of back of house common spaces to promote hygiene and safety
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger dogs safely
- Monitor dog behavior closely to identify any signs of distress or health issues and report promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ well-being and needs
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for both staff and animals

Skills

- Attention to detail




- Robust background in customer service with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
- Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting tasks comfortably and safely
- Genuine love for animals with patience and kindness in all interactions
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Effective commnication
- Basic understanding of dog behavior and health needs; previous experience in pet care is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing consistent care during scheduled hours

What we're looking for

- Comfortable being on your feet, walking, and lifting for most of a shift
- Prior experience with animals or young children, is a plus
- Clear, friendly communicator with both dogs and Angels
- Dependable, safety-minded, and calm under pressure
- Genuine love of dogs and a caring, responsible approach to their wellbeing
- Open to occasional weekend or holiday coverage as needed
