Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time

Wage: $22 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location of Work: Coquitlam, BC

Benefits: Accommodation and meals if so desired, and bonus.

Job Requirements

- High School certificate;
- 1 to less than 7 months experience is preferred;
- Demonstrate ability to perform the work;
- Mature, reliable, caring, and adaptable (be able to work on weekends);
- Ability to communicate in English;

Job Duties

- Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence;
- Bathe, dress, and feed the child;
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals for child;
- May perform other light housekeeping duties;
- Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer;
- Arrange playdates and outings;
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home;




- Instruct child in personal hygiene;
- Tend to the emotional well‑being of the child and support their social development;
- Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents;
- Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings;
- Take child to and from appointments;
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child;
- Administer medicine with parent’s consent, if necessary.
