Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Transportation Driver to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of children to and from school, daycare, extracurricular activities, and other scheduled appointments. This vital role involves not only driving but also providing a caring and responsible environment for young passengers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate vehicles designed for transporting children, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure the well-being of children during transit by following established safety protocols and supervising behavior when necessary.
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, providing support as needed to ensure their comfort and security.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and passenger attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, school staff, and other stakeholders regarding transportation schedules or issues.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Foster a friendly, respectful environment that promotes positive interactions among children and staff.

Skills

- Experience working with children in educational,



caregiving, or transportation settings.
- Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in Spanish and English, to communicate effectively with diverse families.
- Knowledge of senior care practices is a plus for transporting elderly or special needs passengers responsibly.
- Strong customer service skills to address concerns courteously and professionally.
- Commercial driving experience with valid licenses appropriate for passenger transport vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with children, parents, and team members.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Teaching or writing skills are advantageous for creating clear documentation or instructional materials related to safety procedures.
