Full-Time or Part-Time Chiropodist to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

As a Chiropodist/Podiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide variety of foot and lower limb conditions while providing compassionate,

patient-centred care.

Responsibilities include

●Assessing, diagnosing, and treating foot and lower limb conditions within the College of

Chiropodists of Ontario scope of practice.

●Providing routine and advanced foot care for nail, skin and soft tissue conditions.

●Conducting biomechanical and gait assessments and prescribing custom foot orthotics when appropriate.

●Diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions affecting the foot and ankle.

●Treating diabetic foot complications, ulcers, wounds and acute or chronic infections.

●Performing nail surgeries, including the administration of local anesthetic when indicated.

●Prescribing medications within the authorized scope of practice.

●Developing individualized treatment plans and educating patients on prevention and long-term foot health.

●Referring patients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

●Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely patient records.





●Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

●Participating in community outreach and promoting foot health when opportunities arise.

Qualifications

●Advanced Diploma in Chiropody or Degree in Podiatry

●Current registration and in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario, or eligibility to become licensed.

●Professional liability insurance.

●Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, physiology, pathology, biomechanics and lower limb disorders.

●Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

●Experience with orthotic therapy, wound care, diabetic foot care and nail surgery

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

●Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

●Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

●Commitment to continuing education and career development.
