Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Class 1 Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating light commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the smooth flow of our supply chain operations.

Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 Light Commercial Vehicles to deliver freight to various locations according to schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary
- Verify shipment accuracy, complete delivery documentation, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records in accordance with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate pickups and drop-offs




- Perform minor vehicle repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal vehicle performance

Skills

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or logistics operations
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts for loading and unloading cargo
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to commercial vehicle operation
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot common vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and safety checks
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
