TMSI Ltd is seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team in Argentia, NL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the island.

Duties

- Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods and containers.
- Maintain accurate ELOG of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.




- Operate heavy equipment and forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight.

Experience

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). We are looking for 3 years Canadian driving (with winter) experience, with references.
- Clean Abstract.
- Familiarity with container operation is preferred.
- Experience in basic truck- auto repair is a plus, enabling the driver to address minor mechanical issues independently.
- A strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in freight transportation.
- Port experience is considered an asset.
