Cleaner – Greenwood YMCA

Greenwood YMCA | Part-Time | 3 Hours per Day | Monday–Friday after 5:30pm The Greenwood YMCA is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our childcare facility.

Responsibilities

- Complete daily cleaning and sanitation of the childcare facility, including classrooms, washrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Follow the Centre’s established cleaning checklist and procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Safely use cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Report any maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all YMCA health, safety, and cleaning policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Robust attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Comfortable working in a childcare environment.




- Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, bending, lifting, sweeping, and mopping.

Required Certifications & Screening Due to the nature of the environment, the successful candidate must provide:
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clear Child Abuse Register Check
- Valid First Aid & CPR-C certification

All required screening and certifications must be maintained throughout employment. Hours: 3 hours per day, Monday–Friday
