We are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo.

Position Summary

As the Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our cleaning operations consistently meet quality standards. This position focuses on inspections, quality control, administrative duties, team support, and detailed cleaning as required.

Responsibilities

- Conduct daily inspections of assigned buildings and ensure cleaning standards are consistently met.
- Perform quality control checks and follow up on any deficiencies.
- Complete site inspections, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with cleaners to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members.
- Assist with scheduling, supply monitoring, and other administrative tasks.
- Respond promptly to client requests and resolve service issues professionally.
- Perform detailed cleaning and provide operational support when needed.
- Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are followed.




- Communicate regularly with management regarding site performance and staffing needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable using smartphones, email, and basic computer applications.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
