Royal Newfoundland Constabulary
Reporting to the RNC Police Inspector, the Clerk IV provides a broad range of financial, payroll, administrative, fleet, and housing coordination support to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Labrador. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational requirements and ensuring the efficient administration of financial and employee-related processes.
Responsibilities include
- Processing and maintaining financial and payroll-related information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Providing administrative support in the areas of purchasing, accounts payable, vendor maintenance, invoice processing, information management, additional earnings, and leave administration.
- Reviewing financial and payroll reports for accuracy and completeness and ensuring timely follow-up on discrepancies.
- Processing accounts payable transactions, additional earnings claims, leave-related documentation, and other administrative forms.
- Maintaining organized electronic and manual filing systems and ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of records.
- Responding to inquiries from employees, vendors, and other stakeholders and providing information and guidance on established procedures.
- Coordinating fleet management activities, including scheduling preventative maintenance, oil changes, inspections, repairs, and other vehicle service appointments.
- Liaising with service providers and RNC members to arrange vehicle drop-offs and pickups and ensuring fleet maintenance records are maintained and up to date.
- Assisting with the administration of RNC housing by coordinating contractor visits for inspections, repairs, and maintenance assessments.
- Managing lease documentation and coordinating the signing and renewal of housing leases with RNC tenant employees.
- Monitoring and assisting with ongoing housing maintenance issues and coordinating communication between tenants, contractors, and RNC management.
- Supporting operational and administrative projects as required and performing other related duties consistent with the role.
This position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing professional customer service in a confidential environment.
Screening Criteria
1. Completion of a Diploma in Business Administration (equivalencies will be considered)
2. Experience in financial processing (i.e. Purchasing, accounts payable, etc.)
3. Experience using Microsoft Excel
4. Experience with financial and information management systems (i.e. Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc.) (Asset)
