Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Brake Press Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure precision and efficiency in fabricating parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining specifications.
- Program CNC brake press machines using CAD/CAM software or manual input to achieve desired bend angles and dimensions.
- Set up the CNC brake press, including installing tooling, adjusting machine parameters, and verifying setup accuracy.
- Operate the CNC brake press safely and efficiently, monitoring the process for quality and consistency throughout production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other hand tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, welding,
or additional machining processes as needed to complete finished products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC brake press machines or similar equipment such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, or CNC lathe.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software tools used for machine setup.
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision instruments for quality inspection.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to machine operation including crane operation and forklift handling when necessary.
- Experience with welding, assembly processes, or other manufacturing techniques is a plus.
