About the Role

VG Engineering is looking for a skilled Brake Press Operator to run our Ermaksan Speed Bend Pro CNC press brake and support additional fabrication processes starting immediately. We are looking for someone who can confidently set up tooling, read and interpret fabrication drawings, and produce accurate formed parts with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do

- Set up and operate our Ermaksan press brake
- Select dies, install tooling, and verify bend sequences
- Read and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings
- Perform layout and measure materials accurately
- Operate shear and assist with plasma table cutting
- Handle materials using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area
- Work independently while supporting overall production flow

Required Experience To be considered, applicants must have:

- 5 years of CNC press brake setup & operation
- 5 years of shear operation
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Ability to program or adjust CNC brake press controllers
- Knowledge of sheet‑metal forming, bend allowances, and material behaviour
- Ability to use precision measuring tools
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes

Assets (Not Required, but Strongly Preferred)

- Experience with Ermaksan Speed Bend Pro
- Experience with Step Rock Automation 3D controller
- Experience with Hypertherm high‑definition plasma
- Plate roll operation experience

Pay: $26.00-$34.00 per hour
