Laird Plastics Vancouver is a leading manufacturer specializing in plastic distribution and manufacturing.

We are seeking a skilled Plastic Fabricator/ CNC operator to join our team and contribute to our growing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Proficient in cutting, heating, bending, gluing, and flame polishing plastics to fabricate custom parts with precision and quality.

· Operate various tools and machinery, including saws, drills, and CNC machines, to cut, shape, and assemble plastic components. · Read and interpret CAD drawings and technical specifications to ensure precise fabrication.

· Work with plastics, and wood to meet project specifications.

· Ensure high-quality standards by performing exact measurements and inspections.

· Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

· Collaborate with sales, and production teams to optimize workflows and achieve project goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Experience in cabinetry, millwork, signage, or a related industry is a plus.

· Proficiency in operating tools such as saws, drills, and CNC machines. Knowing how to operate 5 Axis is an asset. Programs ex. Fusion, Mastercam, Solid Works etc

· Proficient with drafting

· Basic knowledge of plastic materials, as well as experience with wood.

· Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical specifications accurately.

· Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in fabrication.

· Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.

· Commitment to safety and adherence to best practices in a manufacturing environment.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

· Operating forklift (we can train in house)





· Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada --add Must have PR or be a Canadian citizen

What you’ll need:

- HS diploma
- Ability to calculate requirements, including basic math and interpret tape measures.
- Experience with CAD.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Follow all safety procedures
- Some experience with maintaining machines
- Ability to read blueprints/work instructions
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a background check as part of the selection process
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in Canada

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:
- Reading & Writing English: 1 year (required)
- reading measuring tape: 1 year (required)
- Fusion/ CAD software: 1 year (preferred)

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
