Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Communication Disorder Assistant to support speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality care to young clients with communication challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of articulation and language therapy, experience in pediatric settings, and familiarity with group therapy programs. Duties

- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans for patients across various settings, including schools and in clinic.
- Prepare therapy materials and assist in setting up equipment to facilitate effective treatment sessions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, recording observations and responses accurately for review by licensed clinicians.
- Support students in schools, with particular emphasis on pediatric populations, ensuring comfort and engagement during therapy sessions.
- Maintain a clean,



organized therapy environment that adheres to health and safety standards within acute care facilities.
- Work under a speech language pathologist to coordinate client care and ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

- Prior experience working pediatric environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification or training related to communication disorders or speech therapy assistance
- A genuine passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities and quality of life.
