Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed construction estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using software such as Bluebeam and other estimating tools.

- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and develop competitive, profitable pricing by obtaining material, labour, and subcontractor quotations.

- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure the best pricing and maintain solid professional relationships.

- Coordinate project activities by scheduling tasks, tracking progress, and communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure projects remain on schedule.

- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, assess existing conditions, and meet with clients when required.

- Manage project documentation, including quotations, change orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), purchase orders, and project updates.

- Review bid documents and contracts, assist with project planning, and ensure estimates align with client requirements and company standards.

- Utilize project management and estimating software to monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across multiple projects.





- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and maintaining clear communication throughout the estimating and project coordination process.

Experience & Qualifications

- Previous experience in construction estimating and project coordination, preferably within residential, commercial, or multi-family construction.

- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.

- Experience with estimating software is considered a strong asset.

- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills when working with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and willingness to travel to local job sites when required.
