Construction Foreman – Civil Construction (Full-Time)

Location: Ontario (Various Municipal Civil Construction Projects)

Position Summary

This is a working foreman position. The successful candidate will supervise crews while actively participating in daily construction activities. The Foreman will coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, perform layout and problem-solving in the field, and ensure work is completed according to project drawings, specifications, schedules, and Ontario safety regulations.

Responsibilities

· Lead and work alongside field crews on excavation, grading, underground servicing, and retaining wall projects.

· Plan and coordinate daily work activities, equipment, and materials.

· Install and oversee watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, retaining walls, and related civil works.

· Read and interpret construction drawings, grades, and specifications.

· Operate equipment when required and assist crews to maintain production.

· Train, mentor, and supervise crew members while maintaining productivity and quality.

· Coordinate with Project Managers, inspectors, suppliers, and subcontractors.





· Ensure all work complies with project specifications and Ontario health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

· Extensive experience in civil construction (more than 10 years) , including excavation, underground site servicing, retaining wall installation, grading, and municipal infrastructure.

· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman or Crew Supervisor.

· Proven ability to lead crews while performing hands-on construction work.

· Strong knowledge of construction drawings, grades, and layout.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Fluent in spoken and written English.

· Valid Ontario driver's licence.

· Company Vehicle will be provided for this position.

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
