Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Ontario - Various Civil Construction Project Sites

Position Summary The Construction Labourer will work as part of a civil construction crew and assist with general construction activities. The successful candidate must be comfortable performing physical work outdoors and working safely around excavation equipment, trucks, underground services, and active construction operations.

Responsibilities

· Assist crews with excavation, grading, trench preparation, bedding, backfilling, and compaction.

· Assist with installation of watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, catch basins, maintenance holes, and related site services.

· Assist with retaining wall installation and other civil construction activities.

· Use hand tools, power tools, compactors, pumps, and other construction equipment as directed.

· Guide equipment operators and assist with spotting, measurements, and material placement.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Follow instructions from the Foreman and Site Supervisor.

· Comply with company safety procedures and Ontario health and safety requirements.

· Perform other general labour duties as required.

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 to 3 years of construction experience.





· General experience working on active construction sites is required.

· Experience in excavation, underground site servicing, watermain, sewer, grading, retaining wall installation, or municipal civil construction is considered an asset.

· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, shovelling, and working in trenches or uneven ground conditions.

· Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and construction vehicles.

· Fluent in spoken English.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· personal vehicle to commute to the sites are required.
