Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Manager and lead the planning, coordination, and execution of diverse construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. As a Construction Manager, you will oversee project teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and utilize cutting-edge construction management software to drive efficiency and excellence across all phases of construction.
Duties
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools like Smartsheet.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to streamline workflows and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize construction management software such as Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D for project documentation, tracking progress, and communication.
- Manage procurement processes including construction estimating to secure materials at optimal costs while maintaining project timelines.
- Implement effective time management strategies to prioritize tasks, monitor progress, and adapt plans as needed for project success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in civil or commercial projects.
- Familiarity or working knowledge of surveying and surveying equipment, Total Station, GPS etc, is an asset.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software including Smartsheet, Bluebeam, AutoCad, and other construction management tools.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and procurement procedures.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead teams efficiently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to apply construction safety standards diligently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
