Construction Project Manager (On-Site)

Erwin Construction Custom Building & Design is looking for an experienced On-Site Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality custom homes, renovations, additions, and cottages throughout Simcoe County and the surrounding area.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys being on site, leading a crew of works, coordinating trades, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects move forward efficiently. You will be the primary point of contact on the job site and play a key role in delivering exceptional projects and an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Still being actively on the tools
- Oversee daily operations on active construction sites.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries.
- Ensure work is completed according to construction drawings, specifications, and above the Ontario Building Code requirements.
- Monitor project progress and keep work on schedule.
- Perform quality control inspections throughout each phase of construction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
- Communicate daily with homeowners, trades, suppliers, and the office team.
- Identify potential issues and resolve them before they impact schedule or budget.
- Coordinate municipal inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly.
- Assist with material planning and verify deliveries.
- Support project completion, deficiency walkthroughs, and final closeout.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing residential construction projects or supervising custom home construction.
- Strong knowledge of custom homes,



renovations, and additions.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and keep projects on schedule.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Working knowledge of residential building practices and the Ontario Building Code.
- Experience using project management software such as JobTread is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with the ability to travel between project sites.
