Construction Surveyor/Technologist

When you join our team, you'll work alongside talented engineers, technologists, planners, and surveyors on impactful municipal infrastructure and land development projects.

We're looking for an experienced construction surveyor/technologist who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring projects are delivered accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Here's how you'll be making an impact:

- Perform construction layouts and staking for grading, underground utilities, roadways, sidewalks, and other municipal infrastructure.
- Conduct topographic, as-built, and quantity surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
- Review grades, elevations, and utility alignments, as well as identify potential conflicts before and during construction.
- Maintain accurate survey records, field notes, and as-built documentation.
- Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections.

Here's what we are looking for:

- Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology, geomatics engineering technology,



surveying, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction surveying, municipal infrastructure, or civil construction (experience requirements may vary based on the candidate).
- Proficiency with GPS and Total Station surveying equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office; familiarity with survey processing software is an asset.
- Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure construction standards, including grading, underground utilities, and roadways.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction setting.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with the ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred experience:

- Experience with land development and municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and intersections; water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems, earthworks and grading
