Contract Field Process Operator

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Schedule: 5-5-4 Rotating Shift (Days & Nights)

We are seeking Contract Field Process Operators to support safe and reliable operations at a major industrial facility in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. This role involves monitoring process equipment, performing field inspections, supporting plant operations, and assisting with Turnaround (TA), shutdown, commissioning, and startup activities.

Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor process equipment and field systems.
- Perform routine inspections and identify abnormal operating conditions.
- Support plant shutdowns, Turnarounds, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Follow operating procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure protected and efficient plant performance.

Requirements:





- 4th Class Power Engineer certification (ABSA required).
- Experience in refinery, upgrader, petrochemical, chemical plant, oil & gas, or industrial process operations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current Fall Protection and Confined Space certifications.
- Ability to work a 5-5-4 rotating day/night schedule, overtime, and outdoor industrial environments.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and wearing required PPE including respirators/SCBA.

Preferred:

- Experience as a Field Operator, Process Operator, Plant Operator, Refinery Operator, Upgrader Operator, or Power Engineer.
- Turnaround, shutdown, commissioning, or startup experience.
